Microsoft announces new features for Windows 11 and Copilot+ PCs, including an AI agent in Settings and updates to Start menu, Photos, Paint, and Snipping Tool

One action, called Ask Copilot, will be able to act on an image or text, such as drafting content in Microsoft Word based on what’s on your screen.You will also be able to engage Reading Coach through Click To Do or use Immersive Reader. You can set the color of those sources and pick a focus point to have lights follow automatically.You can control relight manually or use presets for quicker edits.An update to Paint will add support for object select, which lets you isolate a specific element from a canvas. Another new Paint feature will create stickers in response to a text prompt.An update to Snipping Tool will scan what’s on your screen with AI to create a tightly cropped capture. The tool analyzes your screen to focus on prominent content, but you can also fine-tune a selection.Snipping Tool is also gaining a text extractor and a color picker.AccessibilityCopilot+ PCs with Snapdragon chips already have accessibility features such as Voice Access. Soon, those same systems will have an improved Narrator.The updated Narrator will be able to describe images. Rich image description is available now to Windows Insiders with Snapdragon-powered Copilot+ PCs and will ship to Copilot+ PCs with Intel or AMD chips soon.Windows 11 experiencesWindows 11’s Start menu will soon have more customization options and a phone companion. 三星Galaxy Note系列自2011年開始就以大屏幕、手寫筆的特色切入智慧型手機市場,並且持續贏得市場正面的反響,不過現在來自多名知情人士透露,三星並不打算開發下一代Galaxy Note系列,而會把資源投註在Galaxy Z Fold手機的開發,換言之,Galaxy Note 20 系列,可能將會是最後一代 Note 系列產品。

從消費市場來觀察,自 2012 年開啟的可彎曲螢幕解決方案,到了 2020 成了大熱門,折疊螢幕手機越來越受到歡迎,華為、摩托羅拉、中興、小米相繼投入折疊螢幕手機的開發計畫。早在 2013 年攜手微軟公司發表折疊螢幕概念手機的三星電子(詳見:CES 2013 /三星發表八核心處理器與軟性螢幕概念手機),今年三星把 Galaxy Z 系列做了延伸,將 2019 年推出的 Galaxy Fold 產品以 Galaxy Z Fold 導入消費市場。

雖然從銷售數據來看,Galaxy Note 20 系列銷量仍是大幅度的贏過三星自家的 Galaxy Z Fold,旗艦級手機 Gaalxy Note 20 Ultra 5G 更以 5% 的市佔,在今年 9 月搶下 5G 旗艦機市場龍頭寶座,不過三星似乎打算重新整合 Z 系列折疊屏智能產品線,同時取消 Galaxy Note 系列的開發。

據路透社報導,多名「知情人士」透露,三星旗艦產品Galaxy Note系列可能會在 2021 年停產。類似的說法在過去已經被提出過很多次,路透社還引述知情人士訊息,補充:三星甚至沒有2021年Galaxy Note系列的開發計畫,至少目前還沒有。消息人士還聲稱,負責開發 Galaxy Note 系列產品的同一團隊現在將致力於開發三星的折疊螢幕的智慧型手機。

同篇報導當中指出,即將發表的三星Galaxy S21系列與三星Galaxy Z Fold 3都可能會支持 S Pen,儘管包裝盒中不會附帶。由於 2021 年將提供這兩個產品選項,因此三星目前沒有理由繼續開發 Galaxy Note系列。

其實早在上個月,一支概念影片暗示三星電子正在開發一款名為Galaxy Scroll的手機。它是一種可拉伸螢幕概念型手機產品,可能因此產品名稱就以“Scroll”(滾動)為名,有趣的是,該款手機將內建 S Pen,相關概念影片如下:(影片/取自YouTube)

三星第二代可折疊的旗艦手機 Galaxy Z Fold 2 於 2020 年 9 月 2 日發表並獲得好評,可以看成是 2020 年最令人興奮的手機,如果 Galaxy Z Fold 3 也要在 2021 年底前後的同一時間發表,並且支援 S Pen、甚至是直接內建 S Pen,那麽三星Galaxy Note系列被取消開發的可能性就相當高。
